You can buy a new bike at several locations in the city. Please make sure you buy a good lock and also bike insurance, if you feel like. If you don’t want to spend a fortune on a new bike, you can always buy a second-hand bike in blocket.se or fakebook marketplace. Bike kitchen (Cykelköket) can help you fixing your bike.
You can always rent a bike from several companies in Gothenburg. Styr & Ställ operated by nextbike is the largest with about 1700 bikes in 130 stations in Gothenburg and Molndal. There are 4 stations around Chalmers. The yearly subscription is 300 SEK.
