Sick leave benefits an employee who is unable to work effectively because of illness. It allows the employee to take some downtime for self-care and healing.

Chalmers shares the responsibility with Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) for your benifits.

• Day 1 → You don't get paid
• Day 2 -14 → Chalmers pays you 80% of your salary during the period of illness
• Day 14+ → Chalmers supplements the benefits from Social insurance agency.
